The incident between brother and sister interaction occurred at their parents' house in Krajan Hamlet RT 11 RW 4, Tamankuncaran Village, Tirtoyudo District, Malang Regency, Tuesday (22/10/2024) at 16.00 WIB.

At that time the victim Yayuk Fitriyah was returning to her hometown to her parents' place. He is registered as a resident of Tulungrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. Yayuk's return causes problems with his younger sibling Ruliyanto.

2. It started with a dispute

The arson incident began with a clash or argument between Yayuk Fitriyah and her younger brother Ruliyanto. Ruliyanto asked Yayuk Fitriyah about the wages for building a bathroom in the family's house.

“There was an argument between Ruliyanto, as the reported party, and Yayuk Fitriah, the victim, who is the sibling, the child of the reporter named Poniyem, their parents,” said Head of Public Relations for the Malang Police, AKP Ponsen Dadang Martianto, Wednesday (30/10/2024).

When the dispute broke out, the mother, Poniyem, intervened. But in the end he left the house because he was afraid so he hid in a neighbor's house.

3. Fight over inheritance

Apart from the issue of asking for money to repair the bathroom, the inheritance from the sale of the house from his father gave Ruliyanto dark eyes. He asked his mother and older brother about this, which sparked an argument.

“Initially there was an argument between the reported brother and the victim, who is a younger sibling, at their parents' house regarding the inherited house,” said Ponsen.

The perpetrator, Ruliyanto, asked for compensation for the costs of making a bathroom in the house occupied by Poniyem, Yayuk Fitriyah's mother, who is actually her older sibling. Then Poniyem left her two bickering children at the house of her neighbor Gini (52).

“However, 30 minutes later he was told to go home. After returning home, Poniyem and Ruliyanto argued about the cost of building a bathroom in his brother's house,” said Ponsen.
