JAKARTA, iNews.id – The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) ensures the condition of Indonesian citizens (Indonesian citizen) in Iran safe and secure after the Israeli air attack that occurred on Saturday, October 26 2024. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with Representatives in the Middle East continue to unite the situation security in that country.

The center of the Israeli attack targeted Iranian military centers in Tehran, Ilam and Kuzestan. The Indonesian Embassy in Tehran has established communication with Indonesian citizens to monitor their condition.

“Everyone is safe and secure. The number of Indonesian citizens recorded as residing in Iran is currently 392 people. The Indonesian Embassy in Tehran currently continues to maintain Alert II status which has been established since April 2024,” wrote the statement. Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoted from the official website, Sunday (27/10/2024).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also appealed to Indonesian citizens residing in Iran, Israel and Lebanon to increase vigilance, reduce non-essential movements and follow the protection instructions from the Indonesian Representative.

Apart from that, observing the latest security situation, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed an appeal to Indonesian citizens, especially those in Iran, Israel and Lebanon, including increasing vigilance and caution; reduce non-essential movements.

Then, stay away from vulnerable locations; and follow the information and directions for contingency protection for Indonesian citizens that have been prepared by the Indonesian Representative in the local country.
