Anindya Bakrie said Kadin would form a task force for resolving MSME debt
JAKARTA, iNews.id – General Chair of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) 2024-2029 Anindya Bakrie welcome the plan President Prabowo Subianto will abolish it debt bad credit for around 6 million farmers, fishermen, and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through Presidential Regulation (Perpres). The plan is that the presidential decree will be issued next week.
The plan for the Presidential Decree to eliminate bad credit debt was conveyed by the Economic Advisor and Chairman of the Advisory Council Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo in the “Kadin Economic Dialogue with the Leadership of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry” at the Indonesian Kadin Tower, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Wednesday (23/10/2024).

Responding to this, Anindya said that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry fully supports this policy and is ready to help the government and MSMEs.
Together with the government, Kadin is ready to help and collaborate with the Ministry of MSMEs, Ministry of Finance, Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Ministry of Law. The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will soon form a Task Force for MSME Debt Settlement.
“Kadin's main task is to facilitate legal assistance and banking access so that the MSME debt settlement process in banks can run smoothly. “In the future, our hope is that MSMEs can grow and revive.” said Anindya in a written statement, Sunday (27/10/2024).
Anindya added that this policy is clear evidence of President Prabowo's commitment to improving the welfare of farmers, fishermen and MSMEs in order to realize food security and sustainability. Eliminating credit bottlenecks will of course stimulate the national economy.
