BANTUL, iNews.id – Coach Arema FC Joel Cornelli gave special instructions to his men to destroy Barito Putera. The two teams met in the continuation League 1 at Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul Friday (1/11/2024).

Cornelli admitted that the duel against Barito Putera was a tough match, even though the Barito Putera team was ranked below Arema FC in the standings.

“Tomorrow's match is a difficult match for us. We have an away match against a good and strong team,” said Joel Cornelli, during a press conference session at the Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, Yogyakarta.

Joel has provided nuances so that his team can get out of pressure and play freely. The reason is, reflecting on the last match against Persija Jakarta at home, the pressure factor made it difficult to develop the game.

“We try to enjoy the match and get out of the pressure. We got him a win before finally losing in the last match,” said the Brazilian coach.
