Continuing Anies' struggle in Jakarta
JAKARTA, iNews.id – Candidate for Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Suswonoattended the Grand Gathering of the Pesona Annur Batipuah Ateh Family in Jakarta. More than 400 Minangkabau residents gathered to celebrate togetherness and strengthen support for a more advanced Jakarta.
This event is part of Suswono's commitment to strengthening relations with various communities and realizing Jakarta's vision as an inclusive, harmonious and cultural city.

Suswono expressed his deep appreciation to the Pesona Annur extended family for their dedication in enriching Jakarta through contributions in the social, cultural and educational fields. He emphasized that the synergy between Ridwan Kamil–Suswono (RIDO) and the Minangkabau people is a real manifestation of the spirit of diversity which is the main foundation in building a stronger Jakarta.
“This meeting is a reminder that diversity is our strength. “By supporting each other and embracing cultural identity, we can create a Jakarta that is more resilient, independent and competitive,” said Suswono, Sunday (3/11/2024).

The Governor of West Sumatra, Buya Mahyeldi Ansharullah, was also present and expressed his full support for Suswono.
“The Batipuah Ateh community fully supports Pak Suswono to continue the programs that have been initiated by the Governor Anies Baswedan. “With the same determination, we now give that trust to Pak Suswono,” said Buya Mahyeldi, who strengthened the bonds of solidarity and support of the Minangkabau people for the RIDO pair.

As part of his vision, Suswono outlined plans for a culture-based character education program that would be included in the school curriculum in Jakarta.
“We believe that Jakarta's young generation must have a global perspective without forgetting their cultural identity. “Through culture-based education, we want to ensure that this generation grows up with strong roots, creating a society that values diversity in harmony and progress,” explained Suswono.
