Corruption Eradication Commission Leaders Meet with Coordinating Minister Yusril, Discuss Asset Confiscation Bill
JAKARTA, iNews.id – Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (Corruption Eradication Commission) visited the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections (Coordinating Ministry for Law and Human Rights Imipas) on Thursday (7/11/2024). They met with the Coordinating Minister for Human Rights and Impas, Yusril Ihza Mahendra.
The leadership of the anti-corruption agency consisting of KPK Chairman Nawawi Pomolango and KPK Deputy Chairmen Nurul Ghufron and Johanis Tanak discussed several issues, such as Asset Confiscation Billlaw enforcement, to complaints from foreign nationals (WNA) who complained through their Embassy regarding the complicated processing of Limited Stay Permit Cards (KITAS) in Indonesia.

Regarding the Asset Confiscation Bill, said Yusril, the government has submitted a presidential letter (surpres) to the DPR and is waiting for the bill's discussion schedule to be implemented.

“If it has been submitted, the government will not withdraw it,” said Yusril in his statement, Friday (8/11/2024).
He added that his party would coordinate with the Minister of Law regarding several issues in the Asset Confiscation Bill. Likewise, several regulations will be amended or replaced, especially for law enforcement.
