JAKARTA, iNews.id – Inspirational story Distributed by the Executive Chairman MNC Group, Hary Tanoesoedibjo in the MNC Next – Gen Leaders event “Working Together for the Nation”. This event was held at the Jakarta Concert Hall, iNews Tower, Jakarta on Thursday (31/10/2024).

In front of thousands of Gen Z who are MNC Group employees, the man who is often called HT told of his youth when he was often lazy and undisciplined, which required him to pursue a package C diploma to be able to graduate from high school.

Hary Tanoesoedibjo said that when he was at school, he was very lazy and often took things for granted. Until in the end he had to accept the bitter pill, where many of his reports were red and made him completely scolded.

“Maybe if I had kept it up, I wouldn't be here,” he said.

Realizing that he was too lazy, HT then tried to improve himself. Exactly in 1984, the father of the former Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Angela Tanoesoedibjo, determined himself to study more actively.

“I tried to realize. I felt that I had to move forward. I had to have a fighting spirit. I realized in the true sense, from being lazy, from being undisciplined, so in essence I changed,” he said.

Hary Tanoesoedibjo then transformed himself into a child who loved studying and reading. He admitted that it was not uncommon for him to study late at night. His efforts later paid off and he received a scholarship to continue to college abroad.
