It was revealed that the boy being held hostage at the Pejaten Police Post, South Jakarta, was not the victim's father

JAKARTA, iNews.id – The perpetrator took a 7 year old girl hostage at a police post PejatenSunday Market, South Jakarta has been arrested by the police. The perpetrator with the initials IJ (54) turned out to be not the victim's father, but a business partner of the boy's parents.

“Earlier we arrested a man, his initials IJ, aged 54 years. Know (the victim's parents). “So, business friends of the victim's parents,” said Acting Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Nurma Dewi, Monday (28/10/2024).

Nurma explained that initially the perpetrator asked the victim's parents for permission to take the victim for a walk.

“So, after walking around on a two-wheeled vehicle, from the East Jakarta area, then arrived in front of Penvil,” said Nurma.

The victim has been taken to Jakarta Medical Center Hospital, South Jakarta. The victim only suffered scratches near his eye.
