JAKARTA, iNews.id – Coach Indonesian National Team Shin Tae-yongreacted regarding the strength of the Japanese squad that will face the Garuda Squad. Shin Tae-yong admitted that the team nicknamed the Blue Samurai was the best team in Asia and would be a tough opponent for the Indonesian National Team.

Shin Tae-yong also revealed that Japan's strength can actually be seen from the FIFA rankings. Shin Tae-yong said the Indonesian national team players must further perfect their preparations to face Japan.

The Indonesian national team will have 2 home matches in the third round of Group C World Cup Qualification Asia Zone 2026. The Garuda squad will host Japan on Friday (15/11) and Saudi Arabia on Tuesday (19/11) at SUGBK, Jakarta.
