Milklife Soccer Challenge Jakarta Series 2 2024 Participants Triple Increase, Young Talents Abound
JAKARTA, iNews.id – Participant MilkLife Football Challenge Jakarta Series 2 2024 soared more than three times compared to the first series, last May. There are 1,359 female students from 85 elementary schools (SD) from the capital city and surrounding areas trying to dream of becoming Indonesian female soccer stars.
The event, which was organized by MilkLife and the Djarum Foundation Sports Service, took place from Wednesday (6/11) to Sunday (10/11) at the Kingkong Soccer Arena & Atang Sutresna Kopassus Stadium, Cijantung, East Jakarta.

Participants were divided into 31 Age Group (KU) 10 teams and 88 KU 12 teams. This is much increased compared to Series 1 which only contained 9 KU 10 teams and 25 KU 12 teams with a total of 368 female students participating.
Director of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program, Teddy Tjahjono, said that the increase in participant participation in the MilkLife Soccer Challenge – Jakarta Series 2 2024 is a breath of fresh air in efforts to develop women's football in Indonesia.

Not only in the capital, the consistency of large screenings also occurs in other cities hosting the MilkLife Soccer Challenge such as Surabaya, Bandung, Kudus, Yogyakarta and Solo.
“The increase in the number of participants more than threefold in Jakarta is something that is encouraging for us as organizers,” said Teddy.

“With so many participants, it will certainly increase the possibility of great talents emerging who can continue to be developed. We are not only consistent in continuing to hold the MilkLife Soccer Challenge in the 10 and 12 age categories, but together with the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) we have also prepared a roadmap at the 14, 16, 18 and professional age levels so that Indonesian women's football will produce many quality players,” he said.
