JAKARTA, iNews.idMinistry of Cooperatives (Ministry of Cooperatives), the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT), and the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) have launched mutual cooperation in the Program Free Nutritious Meals (MBG). This program is the flagship of the Prabowo-Gibran Government.

MBG not only focuses on improving children's nutrition, but also encourages economic growth for people in rural areas. Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi said that one of the roles of cooperatives will be to provide milk. Milk is an important component in MBG.

“Indonesian milk cooperatives have enormous potential, so they need to be organized and invested in quality milk processing equipment,” he said.

Budi Arie said, “Today our milk cooperative has only just received pasteurization, while for nutritious food it needs to be UHT. “Later we will go around, if anyone needs to increase capital, there is LPDB Cooperative which is ready to finance cooperatives through revolving funds.”

He also ensured that there were many quality milk cooperatives available, such as in Lembang, Subang, Garut, Malang, Pujon, and Boyolali. Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono confirmed Budi Arie's view, saying that with market certainty from BGN, future people's cooperatives will benefit and gain benefits.

Not just milk cooperatives, including other cooperatives related to the BGN program. Regarding this, PDT Deputy Village Minister Ahmad Riza Patria expressed his support. He is also ready to coordinate with the Ministry of Cooperatives and BGN.
