The eruption occurred at 05:44 WIB, Wednesday 6 November 2024, but the height of the ash column was not observed. “This eruption was recorded on a seismogram with a maximum amplitude of 30 mm and a duration of 4 minutes 35 seconds,” wrote the report, quoted on Wednesday (6/11/2024).

Eri from the Disaster Preparedness Group, Bukit Batabuah, Regency Agam said, has happened volcanic ash rain around their residence due to impacts eruption of Mount Marapi.

“This really disrupts residents' activities, especially those who do outdoor activities. “Residents are advised to be careful and alert,” he said.

In the Volcano Observation Post report, the public is always reminded to always comply with recommendations and wear masks, skin and eye protection when doing outdoor activities.
