JAKARTA, iNews.id – Indonesia finally has it factory the first and largest integrated solar panel. Factory owned PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP) is located in Kendal, Central Java and has a capacity of up to 1 Gigawatt Peak (GWp).

According to the Director of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Industry, Ministry of Industry, Yan Sibarang Tandiele, the construction of the solar panel factory was carried out in just 10 months. What's more interesting is that the factory was built by providing Domestic Content Levels (TKDN) in accordance with regulations.

The Soft Launching of this solar panel factory is a spectacular achievement, because it was carried out in a short period of 10 months. This is surprising for the Indonesian people. With the operation of the factory solar panels This 1 GWp capacity will increase national capacity to 4.7 GWp. “We also appreciate PLN for its commitment to utilizing TKDN,” said Yan Sibarang, Saturday (2/11/2024).

Secretary of the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Sahid Junaidi also assessed that this development could support the achievement of RI's Net Zero Emission (NZE) and new renewable energy (EBT) targets.
