Singapore Deploys 2 Fighter Jets to Guard Air India Express Plane which is Threatened by Bomb
SINGAPORE, iNews.id – Republican Air Force Singapore deploy fighter jet F-15 related birth threat towards the plane Air India ExpressTuesday (15/10/2024). The plane received a bomb threat on a flight from Madurai, India, to Singapore.
Quoted from The Straits Times, the airline received a bomb threat via email, namely on aircraft with flight number AXB 684. Before landing at Changi Airport on Tuesday evening, the Singapore Air Force deployed two fighter jets to escort the plane.

The Air India Express plane landed safely at Changi Airport at 22.04 pm, around 1 hour 15 minutes late from its scheduled arrival time of 20.50.
The flight tracking website Flightradar24 shows that the plane circled for about 1 hour east of Singapore.

After all passengers were evacuated, Singapore police searched all parts of the plane until Wednesday (16/10/2024) early morning. As a result, no suspicious items were found.
The Singapore Police received notification of the birth threat at 20.25. It is not clear where the threat came from, investigations are still ongoing to find out who made the threat that caused public unrest.
