Tom Lembong named as a suspect in the sugar import case along with the director of a state-owned company
JAKARTA, iNews.id – The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) former Minister of Trade (Mendag) Thomas Trikasih Lembong (TTL) as a suspect in the alleged corruption case sugar imports. He was named a suspect along with the director of a state-owned company, namely the Director of Business Development of PT Perusahaan Dagang Indonesia (PPI) with the initials DS.
“The two suspects are one TTL as Minister of Trade for the 2015-2016 period. “The two suspects are in the name of DS as Director of Business Development at PT PPI,” said Director of Investigations at the Attorney General's Office, Abdul Qohar, in a press conference at the AGO Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday (29/10/2024) evening.

He said that both of them were named suspects after previously having witness status. The determination of the suspect takes into account the sufficiency of the evidence.

“Because we have met the evidence that the suspect has committed a criminal act of corruption,” said Abdul Qohar.
